The 20 most carcinogenic foods

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the 20 most Cancerigenos foods, for people to take into account and prevent this disease.

1 – The transformed meat
Do you often consume transformed meat like salami, bacon, sausages…? Without wanting to be alarmed we advise you to check your menu.

The World Health Organization analyzed 10 scientific studies and showed that consuming only 50 grams of meat transformed a day is sufficient to increase the risks of developing colorectal cancer by 18%.

2 – The red meat
It’s hard not to spit on a good, juicy piece of meat! Although it’s delicious, red meat hides a dark secret.

According to the WHO study, people who consume 100 grams of red meat daily have 17% more risk of developing colorectal cancer.

To get away from that possibility you only have to decrease the daily consumption of red or transformed meat. You can alternate with legumes or tofu, for example.

3 – The meat too cooked
Some health care institutions recommend cooking meat to avoid catching certain diseases. But do not cook too much, because it increases the risk of developing cancer.

When the meat is cooked too much or burned on the grill, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), a group of carcinogenic substances, are produced.

4 – Hot drinks
Do you like coffee, tea, soup…? Before swallowing, make sure they are not too hot. According to the WHO Cancer research agency, drinking hotter fluids than 65 degrees Celsius increases the risk of having esophageal cancer.

5 – Soft drinks
We all know that soda drinks make you fat, but did you know that they can also increase the risk of getting cancer? Some Swedish scientists say so.

In 2012 they published a study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, which concluded that a man who drinks a can of soda a day, has 40% more risk of getting prostate cancer. The risk increases for men over 45 years old.

9 – Canned tomatoes
These tomatoes are popular because they are cheap and easy to prepare. However, the laboratory XenoAnalytical LLC, affiliated to the University of Missouri, published in 2008 that some canned products, especially salsa and tomato juice, contain bisphenol A. This is a chemical component that is used to manufacture plastic items, such as discs and water bottles.

In addition to increasing the risk of breast cancer, bisphenol A increases the risk of developing hyperactivity, attention deficit, hormonal disorders and obesity.

10 – The milk
We know that milk is rich in calcium, which is beneficial for bones. But a study conducted in 2004 states that men who consume a lot of milk increase by 68% the risk of developing prostate cancer.

14 – Microwave Popcorn
Microwave-ready popcorn is full of calories, but it’s not bad to eat once in a while! They are rich and easy to prepare.
